Warmest congratulations to club member David Mazierski who has been awarded the 2026 Brödel Award for Excellence in Education. This is one of the highest honours given by the Association of Medical Illustrators.
Professor Mazierski is Associate Professor-Teaching Stream in the Master of Science in Biomedical Communications program at the University of Toronto. This award recognizes his dedication to education and mentorship and to advancing the art and science of visual communication.
Professor Mazierski is a certified medical illustrator and a Fellow of the Association of Medical Illustrators. He has contributed to many anatomical, medical and scientific publications, including Grant’s Atlas and has a research interest in the history of scientific and medical illustration.
